Beautiful Seed

My friend asked me on MSN - u tink god will be disappointed in me for not being able to do anything? His sister seems to still lean toward abortion. My answer - Nope. You have done what you could. Now let Him do what He can. He can bless the broken road your sister walks on. He can love the baby whether she chooses to abort, give the child away or keep the child by her side. No matter what the decision the girl makes, one thing is for sure. The same grace we have is also available for her if she would receive it. Excerpt from an email i sent to a friend... I feel what I said in it sums up my feelings about the situation - I believe in speaking up for a life that has not the ability to speak for itself and for the truth that I believe to be so. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own view about what abortion terminates and whether it is okay - but for me, as a mother and also as a Christian, I see it as a life - that within that foetus is a potential to love and be love...

Letters to a Legalist

Ian was reminding me that Daddy will fights His own fights. =) Hallelujah! I cannot remember quotes from the bible very well... so I had problems commenting to the recipient of the following (whom I will keep anonymous). Then last night, I was led by the Holy Spirit (w/o a doubt) during quiet time to open my bible and it opened exactly to the letter by the Apostle Paul who addressed the whole slave and sonship issue, we're no longer under law issue that I was trying to explain to the guy in my last comment to him. So HALLELUJAH to Jesus and thank you to the angels who guided my hand by the Holy Spirit to open to that page. I re-read Galatians again and feel so blessed to be taught by the Holy Spirit and not by my own struggling... =) I often read by His leading and not my own, and it is amazing how He leads me perfectly in His Time. Shalom (ANON), I did not diminish or subtract from the Word of God... I quoted Paul now and then, and also wrote reflections based on the writings I st...

Moses and our supposes - run from the Desert and enter the Promised Land!!

Image
Hubs and I were discussing last night about why Moses didn't get to enter the Promise Land . We shared our views. I told Ian I felt that Moses not entering the Promised land is a metaphor that Legalism has no place in God's Promised land. Ian felt that Moses did not go to the Promised land NOT because he hit the rock twice. He felt it was because Moses did not give the glory to God and he focused on his doing and not God's doing when he chided the people before he smote the rock. We also agreed that it is clear that Moses did die. When he comes to be one of the 2 witnesses before the second coming of Jesus, during the period of tribulation, I am sure it is because he had been resurrected by Christ to do so. I really enjoyed the discussion with Hubby and I always appreciate how we can share with each other about the bible and reflections on the readings. Our marriage is uncommon because it is set apart and made holy and wonderful in Jesus. Amen! Ian and I also reflected on ...

I'd choose praise over cursing any time... (another study in seeing God's Word in the Chinese Language)

讚 (zan - Praise) = 言 (yan - words, speak) + 贊 (zan - assist, edify) Call this a long shot but it won't bother me hehe - It encourages me to think that when I praise God, even when if I am caught in a "storm", by repeating His promises for me that is written in His Word, I am speaking words of faith that, when I hear, helps me have more faith and edifies/encourages me. Praising His holy name definitely beats mumbling, grumbling, cursing & swearing. =) It's interesting how 罵 (ma) which means "to scold, abuse, swear" has the mandarin word for "net" on top of it 网 (wang). It traps you in its net of condemnation. I remind myself to control my temper because the way I see it, a person is as swift as a horse ( 馬 - ma) to open his/her mouth carelessly to speak words that kill and not edify, can be prepared to be caught in the enemy's trap. Interestingly, the word for sin in mandarin, 罪 (zui) , also has the mandarin word for "net" on ...

Don’t Be Dust-Conscious

Hahaha how timely. I have been kinda reading too many of these nay-sayer blogs lately and becoming quite affected by the unkind and awful things that they say. Andrea's been telling me to ignore them, and last evening it hit me that these blogs were set to stumble me - making me upset, distracting me from my work!! This morning, opened my email to see this daily devotional from Church & it truly is the rhema word from Jesus... I am going to feed on Daddy's Word and turn my back on dust! Why feed on dust when there is manna to be had eh? =D It doesn't matter what people think, I know WHOSE I am. =D Nothing can stumble me because of Him - gonna be leaning on Him and Him alone. Jesus is my advocate so I shan't argue for Jesus because Jesus can do it better than I can! Grins. I will just let go and let God. Hallelujah! Don’t Be Dust-Conscious Luke 13:11 11And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in n...

Worthless - an excellent daily devotional

What a good reminder of WHOSE we are, not who we are =D Worthless Zoe Elmore "You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God." Isaiah 62:3 (NIV) Devotion: "You are absolutly worthless!" "Why do they even pay you?" Everyone in the reception area overheard her shrill and piercing voice and waited for my response. I could feel my face flush with embarrassement as every head and all eyes were pointed in my direction. I let out a nervous giggle and muttered, "Oh they just pay me to look cute." I thought a little comic relief would soften the woman's anger and the tension in the room. I was wrong! She screamed, "You're not even cute! "You should give them back their money!" then turned and left the office angry and frustrated because I was unable to fulfill her demand for an appointment. Once again all eyes were on me as I prayed for the f...

Be freed from the condemnation the world sets on U...

I felt very sad reading the comments on Hillsongs' Desert Song video link... the worship leader gave a brilliant testimony but people commented on how she was being punished for her sins by God or that we must depend on our efforts not God's... all sorts of nonsense. The devil just has to try to dilute God's good work in people's grace filled testimony in the video through those comments - to affect those who watch the videos and felt moved... to raise doubts in Christ and His finished work. Any one not well grounded in Christ and His Word will easily feel their faith shaking under the various accusing comments. I chanced on this sermon by Pastor that was online... it has no title except for Hillsong 2007, I didn't listen to the sermon first but sent it out to some people because I know that the Hillsong 2007 materials are really good. When I heard it... WOW! God knows what to say to who and when and how... =) Like I said, this sermon is wonderfully touching ... I c...
