"Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees." (1 Chronicles 14:14). When we face a trial, our first instinct is to come head on against it. However God's best will for us might not be according to our plans. Sometimes what He wants us to do is to let go, take a different route, and then arrive at a God-given solution later on. But why? The next verse gives us the answer- "And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines." (1 Chronicles 14:15). The reason why He doesn't want us to fight our battle straightaway is because He intends to fight them for us!
