Joel Osteen on Unforgiveness

There was once a Methodist Pastor whom Joel Osteen knew. He had severe athritis and was severely crippled by it. His hands were extremely deformed and gnarled. He could do nothing with them or about them.

One day, he turned up before Joel Osteen, hands completely healed! Joel was delighted and wanted to know what happened.

The man told him that several months back Joel had preached on unforgiveness. He was speaking about how it keeps God's power from operating in our lives, and how it keeps prayers from being answered. As he listened, he began to ask God to show him the areas me unforgiveness and resentment in his life. God dealt with him, bringing to light several situations through the years where people had done him wrong. He didn't even know it, but he felt anger and resentment toward those people. That was the odd part; he didn't even realise he had been carrying all that baggage around. As soon as he saw that, he made a conscious decision to let go, to totally forgive them. That led to the amazing thing happening- one by one His deformed games started straightening out. Week by week a finger would get healed as he continued to search His heart and eliminate ALL the bitterness and resentment. This continued until he was completely healed!

Joel urges people to learn to turn the issue over to God. He will make it up to you. He will make the wrongs right. God will bring justice in your life. Don't be hardheaded and stubborn and miss out on God's best. Be willing to change. Unforgiveness is a destructive and poisonous path. It only poisons and contaminates you as well as those around you. Change your course today!
