Thoughts on remaining in my vineyard =)

Was thinking about the account of Naboth and his vineyard- how he refused to give it to Ahab in exchange for money or a different vineyard. His reason? That his vineyard was his inheritance from His Father.

Ian, Kae and I discussed about it last night before bedtime.

The vineyard is usually representative of the LORD's kingdom in the Scriptures. Naboth's name means fruits or God's people- and might be a possible representation of the End Time people.

Like Naboth, we should hold on tight to our heavenly inheritance through Christ's death on the cross - our sonship, our being heirs to the promises of Abraham, the grace we have in every situation... We should not give up our belief, our faith in exchange for promises of worldly wealth, positioning and for other worldly religions.

I know of some people who religion-hop because maybe they prayed for something and it has not been fulfilled, so they hop from one religion to another in the hopes of obtaining what they want - even if it is not necessarily good for them. From one deity to another, praying in the monsoon drain, and every temple possible... they hunt desperately for that peace, that provision that only one Saviour Redeemer can unconditionally provide for them. Many other religions require a fulfilment of a vow, payment of some sort, an exchange of work for blessings...

There is only ONE WAY and that's Jesus. This is my honest belief and if we want to bear the fruits of our inheritance, we need to wait in the LORD, not wander off to other vineyards, or sell away our faith in exchange of worldly values such as being unscrupulous or ruthless.

Waiting in the LORD means being patient- going by His perfect timing and not our own, waiting with a good attitude, keeping a joyful heart in the face of the most trying times because the joy of the LORD is our strength, and staying fearless before all deception because His perfect love casts away ALL fear. =)

I am remaining hedged in inside His vineyard for me. You? =)
