Promises fulfilled...

In 2012, I had a dream that my folks came to church with us. It was middle 2012 and I woke up feeling very happy and puzzled. My folks are Roman Catholics and I cannot understand how they would want to come to our church with us as they were initially upset that I had decided to become a "protestant". In 2013, the first sermon of the year... the first sermon after my pastor ended the year telling us God's fulfillment of our hopes in 2012 might still come through in the last days of the year... my Dad was in the church with us. I guess for me I used to think along these same lines but the more I grow in my walk, the more I see how my faith is my reality for me. You see reality will tell you things like "You are aging and will some day grow older and weaker." My faith shows me Caleb and Moses and all the heroes of the bible defying aging stereotypes, conquering giants even in their ripe old age. Reality will remind you that the economy is bad and that things will just keep getting gloomier and gloomier. My faith reminds me that in Christ, our path cannot help but grow brighter and brighter unto the perfect day because of His finished work ...
