We have teeth!

"Behold, I will make you into a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: you shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and you shall turn the hills into chaff." (Isaiah 41:15). Today is always a day of new beginnings. :) God equips us with the ability to chew on His Word- to break it down for easy digestion and understanding through the Holy Spirit. :) This revelation will help us beat our mountains small, and to turn our hilly obstacles into mere chaff that can easily be blown away. Let us begin this day rejoicing over the revelation that our God reigns over our circumstances, and we reign with Him. Come boldly to His throne of grace! There IS power to overcome every challenge in life, that we all have to face, through Him alone. We can't avoid trials but we can conquer through Him. We must learn to rest in Him until He makes these problems into footstools and stepping stones for us. It's not our might or sheer human strength that tides us through. We can

Conflicting thoughts- fan girl vs parent

I love Tori Amos's voice and I was a great fan of her music during my darkest days. Unlike many artistes who depend on music engineering, she is the sort that can sing live and sound amazingly good. I still love her song 1000 Oceans. I recall taking the bus on a rainy day to Cambridge from Brighton with 1000 oceans playing ON LOOP. But her songs are really angsty and I dunno but I wouldn't want Kae or any little kid to start singing these sorta songs and lyrics at a tender age. EG. of a song that she taught PS22 Chorus kids on Youtube: Steady girl on your feet You and your wonderings Bread can feed a few So can some cartoons So it ends so it begins I'm my father's son Plant another seed of hate In a trusting virgin gun The melody is very simple and haunting- as is many of Tori Amos's worldly gems. But the lyrics are just so dreary and downbeat and even "salah" (wrong). Whilst I'd like to believe Tori was genuinely touched that the kids identified with

Great Marriages - by Joel Osteen's sister Lisa Comes

Image
3 Powerful Truths to Help Your Marriage You know the saying, "Marriages are made in Heaven, but they sure take a lot of maintenance on earth!" That's the truth! Great marriages take work and it's worth the work! Many times people go from relationship to another seeking the perfect relationship. They can't seem to maintain relationships, bailing out whenever conflict occurs; later learning there is no perfect relationship. There is no such thing as the perfect marriage. Relationships and marriage are high maintenance. If you want good, healthy, relationships in your life, you need to be willing to work at it, you need the wisdom of God, and you need to understand the dynamics of relationships. Psalm 34:12-14 is a scripture that sums up in a nutshell what it takes to have fulfilling relationships and a good marriage. It says, "Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and do g

Oft Forgotten Blessing

You know I think many of us forget to thank God for being born in Singapore. So I want to take this moment to thank God for placing me here. Amen. :)

First Day, Term 3

Well, we're hours away to first day of school. A lot of things happening today. The lady from MCYS will be interviewing K. I really want to pack my room but right now deciding what's needful is rest. I know God's favour's with us. It's not about my packing, it's about receiving that favour. :) The rest of the house is somewhat packed. Will just tidy a bit beforehand. Client will also get back to me on script. Ian might be leaving but secretly i'm hoping for him to leave after Wednesday. ;) So he can be recharged by midweek service. :) I know he wants to be there so much. I will praise the LORD because this is the day He has made and filled with His amazing goodness! Amen.

Ought not you be blessed?

Ought not this woman be freed from her infirmities because she is the daughter of Abraham. - today Pastor touched on this repeatedly. I declare this over you- Amen! He also reminded us that even Abraham had waiting time for his blessings to manifest in his life. Another thing raised was how Abraham asked God to bless his mistake, Ishmael. And boy did God bless his mistake- the generations after Ishmael own two thirds of the world's oil today! God can and He will bless our mistakes if we ask Him to. God loves you enough to prepare for your needs before they arise. Amen. I believe you are the healed, provided of the Lord, living a life and life more abundantly through Christ! Amen! "From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen." (Galatians 6:17-18).

Blessings of Abraham

Blessings of Abraham- Gen 24:1 - lived till 175, no record he was ever ill. Blessed by the LORD in ALL things. Gen 13:2- Abraham was VERY rich in cattle, silver and gold. Abraham lied to Pharoah about Sarah, 60plus years old, being his sister, and blessed despite of that. Who was in trouble? Pharoah. Who was blessed? Abraham! Abraham made the same mistake TWICE! This the in Gera with King Abimelech. Now Sarah's 90 plus year old. Still desired. Youth renewed in her old age. Again, Abraham was blessed and the King warned. Abi gave him much riches. We're blessed not because of what we do. God does not impute our sins upon us because of Jesus. Don't have to push or pull. Trust God.

Live from Church :)

So then those who are of FAITH are blessed with believing Abraham. - Galat 3:9 Promise of blessings come because we're justified by grace, not performance or the law. Note use of word 'with' - meaning same amount, same manner. Note also that Abraham is believing, not in doubt. He believed the same good news told to Him by God. We can NEVER lose our righteousness. We were not made righteous by our obedience in the first place, so how can we lose it by our disobedience?
Well, counting down to Ian's going off to Indo for the next 2 months. It is a trip that someone correctly described as "not short, not long." =p Have I cried because I feel like I am so gonna miss him? You betcha! Do I want him not to go Indo then? No leh. =) I know the importance of this trip and I recognise the blessings it carries. So ya I will do my blubbering and cheerleading at the same time. =) I am just a walking ball of emotions for the moment, so pardon moi. In the office now with the men-folk as they do their macho-tech-DIY stuff. =) Ran some errands and will have more errands to run tomorrow - both for the trip and for Kae's return to school on Monday. Trip side - Done packing his clothes but have not packed his misc stuff like toiletries, medical kit, etc. Also prepared the little notebook of encouragement verses and phrases from the bible and good Christian writers. Kae's side - school uniforms are ready to go. Umm... need to paint his shoes though.

Making Positive the Negative

"He said unto them, Give place: for the girl is not dead, but is asleep. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were thrown out, Jesus went in, and took her by the hand, and the girl arose." (Matthew 9:24-25). In life there will always be hecklers- people who not only fail to support our hopes for a situation in our lives to be resurrected, they make us feel worse by putting us down and by stomping over whatever hope we have left. We may be unable to stop them from talking, but we can ignore them and walk out our faith. Imagine Noah- it's never rained before, no one's heard of it. And he's building a huge ark. When he tells people what he's doing and why upon their enquiry, the whole lot of them probably mistake him for a nut. I'm sure they gave voice to those thoughts too. But did Noah stop to give value to their rants? No. The ark was completed on time, the animalls and Noah were safe. What about Nehemiah? There were men trying to hinder his

Trip's confirmed...

Well, it is confirmed- Ian will be flying off on Monday. I am not sure what time, but I believe that his flight time will NOT clash with my meeting with some clients about a script. AMEN? I am giving this to Daddy God- this thinking about the 8 weeks and wondering how he'll be, who will wash his clothes for him, what will living conditions be like, etc etc. I offer it up to Him with a sacrifice of praise - that HALLELUJAH! He is IN CHARGE of this shoot. God is in charge, not men. So the shoot will go smoothly. He is IN CHARGE of my husband and Ling Hooi. So Ian and Ling Hooi will be in perfect health. It is not easy being apart and all, but it is easy if I channel my energy into blogging for His glory. So be prepared to be hit by a tsunami of blogging and all. =) For the first 2 weeks of the trip, Daddy God's blessed me with a barrage of work so hahah wun have time to be a cry baby about missing my hubby. Daily Lessons

I'm learning every day to throw every of my expectations of myself and others, and others' expectations of me to Jesus. They are not my load to bear and if I try to carry them, i'll just fall. I am a CMI (cannot make it) wheneveri operate on my own ego, thoughts, emotions, flesh. Only one Man is PERFECT enough to lift them, strong enough to bear them for me- Christ. I'm learning to let go. It's a process. I let go faster than before these days, but within me i do sometimes feel a stirring of self-effort trying to bubble up. Sometimes certain anger, bitterness, sorrow or frustration must be let go like a hot potato- before it scalds you... Or even those around you. When I find it tough, i find that singing a praise and worship song helps. I sing until that frustration passes me by. There is power in praise and i find that praise restores joy whenever it ebbs after a hard day, a harsh word, a long journey. I'm not perfect and I surrender. I cannot be perfect for a

REJOICE and ENJOY His blessings today!

"And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them." (Nehemiah 8:12). Today do we understand the words and promises declared over us by our Daddy God, paid for by the blood of Christ, carried out by the power of the Holy Spirit? Are we rejoicing with great mirth our resurrected life, and by doing so, being strengthened? Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us that the joy of the LORD is our strength! Today we are people of hope who are filled with seeds of great promise. Let us not forget our identity in Christ. Let us rejoice not remain crestfallen. Turn down all invites by the enemy to join his pity parties. :) AMEN! Shalom, Geri

Monday Thoughts

Today's Monday. Ian's most likely flying on Thursday. It feels so fast. Then I'll have to wait for 2 months ie. 8 weeks ie. 56 days ie. 1344 minutes ie. 80640 seconds. It sounds long but I know Christ, in His mercy, will cause the days to fly by faster than we can imagine. It's like boiling water, as long as I don't count the minutes down the water boils faster. :) So I'll reduce the bigger numbers of 80640, 1344, 56, 8 and 2 to just ONE trip. It'll all go well and aiya we still have the rest of our life to enjoy together till we live to a ripe, mature age. :) Then there's the eternity after that to enjoy. ;) Hallelujah!

The Beginning of Wisdom

The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names. - seen on TV Mobile on the way to church. Lack is not of God. Illnesses are not of God. Sorrow is not of God. Because we are in Christ, we have an abundant life. We have health and wholeness. Mourning turns into great rejoicing because your God can and will turn any situation meant to harm you into double blessings that work for your good! :) The beginning of wisdom is to know this- your God is bigger than your problems, more powerful than the enemy, and all things are possible for Him. So call your situation blessed today because He 's making miracles happen for you even as you wait for them to manifest. ;) the beginning of wisdom is to know if God is for you yin can be against you? It is to know that you ARE the righteousness of God in Christ and to don that breastplate of righteousness every day... Amen!;)

Psalm 142:7

"Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me." (Psalm 142:7). "The Righteous" here is "tsaddiyq" in Hebrew. It means the just -- just, lawful, righteous (man). I note the description and the singular term man and it is my honest opinion that it refers to Christ. The term "shall compass me about" is "kathar" in Hebrew. It means to enclose or to crown. "For thou shalt deal bountifully" is "gamal." It means to benefit, wean or ripen. From the above we can see that God leads our soul out of the oppression and depression it's been set in so that we can praise Him and boldly confess His sovereignty over our lives. As we do so, Christ will enclose us in Him and crown us with His righteousness. Our Daddy God will also cause us to ripen and bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit; to be weaned off spiritual milk into consuming

Psalm 139:5

Saw this verse from Psalms on Facebook earlier on. Felt so comforted by it. "I am shut in by You on every side, and You have put Your hand on me." - Psalm 139:5 (Bible in Basic English) It brings to mind Noah and his family being shut in and protected within the Ark, representative of being protected in Christ. It causes me to think of God's compassion for Nineveh that He shut Jonah in a whale so that the stubborn man could do His loving will- alert the people of their wrong so they can turn away in time, before destruction occurs. The destruction is because God has to be a just God. Today He has judged Christ guilty on the cross for our sins. This is why we enjoy His grace. It's not because He has stopped being just and has turned biased for us, but it is because His perfect justice was satisfied by the PERFECT man of Christ and His unconditional love for us. It brings to mind Lazarus's resurrection- that though a situation seems dead, He can raise it from

It's God's Fight!

"Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees." (1 Chronicles 14:14). When we face a trial, our first instinct is to come head on against it. However God's best will for us might not be according to our plans. Sometimes what He wants us to do is to let go, take a different route, and then arrive at a God-given solution later on. But why? The next verse gives us the answer- "And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines." (1 Chronicles 14:15). The reason why He doesn't want us to fight our battle straightaway is because He intends to fight them for us! So many people don't realise this beautiful truth and try to fight their own wars. They end up being battle-worn and scarred, whilst ending up fe

God is able.

"They spoke against God saying, 'Can God spread a table in the desert? When He struck the rock, water gushed out... but can He also give us food?"- Psalm 78:19-20 When the Israelites thirst, God instructed Moses to cause water to flow from a rock with his staff. But the people very quickly lost that sense of wonderment and praise for the miracle, distrusting God despite the miracles He'd bring about for them. The sad thing is that when they complained they showed that they have a lesser opinion of God than He deserves, and that they were not thankful for all the goodness and blessings He had already given them so far. Let's never stop having a heart of worship for the many trials He has carried us through before. Remembering all the blessings and good He's given us, let us press ahead knowing He is a faithful God who will keep blessing us and prospering us (prospering means bringing us success and victory in every area of our life- health, finances, relationsh

Samaritan Woman

The Sam woman was self-conscious of ger shameful past; of having been judged, inspired about, mocked, unaccepted, misunderstood by others. Every day is another day of masquerading and dodging people, as well as confronting her shame and condemning eyes wherever she goes. Accumulation and perception of people's response to her past has caused her to prob question her lack, her failure and to compare her life to others and see she cannot make it. Thus she becomes very self-conscious: one purpose in life is to dodge and avoid people. - From notes of bible study by Deaconess Karen during Pastoral Care Ministry Women's Meeting. :)

Restoration!!!

Reading Nehem 5:2-5. "For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live. Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth. There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards. Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards." (Nehemiah 5:2-5). God's people mortgaged off their promised land, their vineyards, and stole from their tribute to the King (first fruits) to provide for their kids in the flesh because of lack. This is a vicious cycle that ends up putting their kids under bondage rather than be

God's not natural...

It's funny but many of us read accounts of God's favoured ones, heroes in our bible and think- "Wow, if only that'll happen to us." Worse still, some think- "Well, that happened then. This is now. It won't happen to me. It's different." Today, because we are more than conquerors in Christ, our stand should be- "Praise God! I will have that same victory. I will enjoy that same blessing." God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He could part the red seas then, He can still do it for you now. He brought Goliath down then, today He can cause the giants in your life to fall. He can coz every single obstacle to part for you. He is a SUPERnatural God of miracles, of ALL things possible. God is mighty to save, and He will use it for our goodness, to the praise and glory of His name. What you need to do is to believe radically, speak boldly, and receive joyfully. :)

SIMPLE not complicated

To complicate is to "twist together." We can see from that definition that if doubt and unbelief are mixed or twisted together with belief, the result will be complication. Complicated means "bewildering." When we mix doubt and unbelief with belief, we'll feel bewildered, not knowing what to do, but busily trying to figure it out. We'll feel as if our problems seem too much to handle, as if they're not being heard or answered. James 1:6-8 talks about the double-minded (complicated, bewildered) man is unstable in all his ways and that he should not think that if will receive anything he asks from the LORD- and that includes wisdom and guidance. In comparison to the complex is the simple things. :) Simple is defined as "having or composing of only ONE thing or part; not complex: easy. Unassuming, unpretentious, sincere, not deceitful. Having no overtones, no divisions." The simple things are of the LORD and if we are seeking answers to our circum

Before n After Grace

Waiting in the bank queue right now and witnessed a little drama. An elderly man was ranting at a staff member and demanding to speak to the manager. He was angry and yelling loudly. The lady serving him is a very good staff member. She has served me before and is polite, very helpful and efficient. As he walked away to talk to the manager, he said, "Everytimeh I come here, I lose my temper." A part me wonders if the bank or his personal view on life is precisely what's making him miserable. I have met many people with short fuses and who always refuse to apologise. Most of them blame the world for everything, and even God, but don't see how their attitude during a trying time affects their overall experience. Keeping a joyful heart makes a huge difference. It's in this state of Shalom- where the devil just can't ruffle your feathers- that you find quiet strength in the Holy Spirit to press on ahead. As I watched the man, it was a reminder for me too to keep m

Weathering Storms

There's a tree called the great sequoia. It's not damaged by extreme weather. Instead, the strongest, most direct winds actually serve to strengthen the trees rather than weaken them. Each blast of wind creates tiny fractures in the bark which produces a more pliable and resilient tree- able to bend but not break. Like these great trees, we sometimes face "strong winds" and "harsh weather". In the face of the wind and the rain splatter, we need to grow in the understanding even more so today that we're hidden in the secret place of the Most High, and that we're established on Christ the solid rock Himself. When I was studying in England, it was pretty pointless using an umbrella and striving against the gale force wind and the rain. So I bought a quilted trenchcoat with a hood. Similarly we can try walking in the storm with our own umbrellas- our career, insurance, credit card, looks, other investments and possessions- but these cannot help us fully

Just keep praising...

Have you tried encouraging someone discouraged and angry before? It can be hard to talk to them sometimes. It's like talking to a wall of cactus- you get either no replies or a lot of thorns embedded in your skin. It's easy to think about just giving up on them, but how to? I can't help loving them though it hurts like mad. But I've also learned that sometimes you need to let go of your worry for them and let the LORD take control of these dear ones and their problems. Often it's their anger speaking and when your realise how the devil is using you both to hurt each other, it's often easier to just back off from the situation and enter into rest about it. I can't talk to some of them, I can't be around them but I can praise for them wherever I may be. I say praise because i believe God's victory for them. Praise is victorious. Prayer can sometimes be uttered with a defeatist mentality. I will praise You in the Storm, LORD, in the grief and pain. You

Delivered- chopped, signed, sealed!

The righteousness of the upright delivers them. - Prov 11:6 :) Jesus is our righteousness & He has delivered us from every evil that tries to come against us. So don't fear any trouble that pits itself against you. Perfect love casts away all anxiety & fears. When we're still anxious & fearful, it's becoz we have an incomplete revelation of how BIG & wonderful God is. Hebrews 11:6 says - And without faith (believing & speaking) it is impossible to please God, becoz anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists & that He REWARDS those who earnestly SEEK Him. Becoz of Christ, God no longer seeks to punish or judge us. He has judged of punished ALL, not some, of our sins on Christ. Today because of Christ's victory & finished work on the cross, we can expect goodness, grace, & victory from our God. He will reward us as we seek Him- we prosper in all areas just as our soul prospers. The word "prosper" means to be successful,

Marriage & Submission

"Wives, submit" does not mean "husbands, dominate." God did not create Eve from Adam's feet to be trampled upon, nor from his head to rule over him. He made her from Adam's side, the nearest place to his heart, to be his helpmate and companion. Healthy marriages model a right understanding of submission. A husband is to nourish and strengthen his wife as a leader among equals, and both are to submit to the LORD. As Christ leads and loves the church, so the husband is to lead and love his wife. - Michael Catt

Fellowship sharing - Part 3 (LIVE blogging)

We need to stop seeing Grace as a doctrine, but as the person of Jesus Himself. Grace = it is no longer I who lives but Jesus who lives in me. Jesus is not just outside, not upside. He is inside us and we are inside Him. The Holy Spirit is in us, and we are in Christ . The body of Christ is in Jesus, we are one with Jesus.

Fellowship sharing - Part 2 (LIVE blogging)

Grace - God's ability in our disability Grace transforms us from the inside out. God is a heart kind of God - Grace puts you at the right starting point. Motivation to do something is not punishment, you do it becoz God is so good to me. =) We respond out of His presence in our life. Question- from a sister about whether God is limitless. If something has started already, how can He change it le? Answer sharing- if we call a problem a stumbling block instead of a blessing, it will stumble us. If we choose to see God as limited and our problems as limitless, the prob will limit us. But if we see God as limitless, our problem is limited and we have overcome it through Christ. Grace is experential not theoretical. Go to church to learn about all the benefits. Not for God's sake, but for our sake. God is doing us a favour not the other way around.

Counting it ALL joy!

Today was spent reflecting on counting it ALL joy and bringing to Abba Daddy the sacrifice of praise. :) Praise is a declaration of Christ's victory over a situation. Praise reminds us of the promise God has put in us and how God will always complete what potential, promise and promotion He's started in us. See God's promise for when we bring Him the Sacrifice of Praise- :) "...the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD." (Jeremiah 33:11). God promises restoration! :) So stop complaining, whining, soaking in self-pity and start praising instead!

Cya ard, Miss G!

My Lit Teacher, Miss G, inspired a character and story of one of my feature film scripts in recent years. I received word that she passed away yesterday evening. She was a tenacious, vibrant woman who was full of life, character, love, and energy despite her long drawn battle against cancer. I was in church last night for a shoot when my ex- school mate messaged me with the news. this morning I received details on the wake and we're to celebrate her death not mourn it; To wear bright colours and carry red roses at her wake. There will also be a memorial service on Wednesday. I really praise God that she's run her race with such zeal and passion. She never allowed cancer to defeat her or snuff out the ability to live life to the full. I have no doubts now that she's with Christ and He's told her, "Well done my good and faithful one." We'll all miss your G. You touched lives with your life- and what a life! I know we'll all meet again in Heaven some day.

Victorious Living

Really enjoying reading "The Life That Wins" by Watchman Nee again. :) For those experiencing any challenges or trials at the moment, you will also enjoy the revelation that this book offers on living a life of victory. :) A favourite portion of the book talks about how the life of victory is obtained, not attained. You can't work for victory but you can receive it as a gift. I think many people experience difficulties grasping this point in particular because we live in a meritocratic society where we've been told from young to work and push ourselves hard to earn our place in society. :) We're also told that "there's no free lunch" in our society. That's true in the natural, fallen world. But this is not true for the Church that's in Christ. Remember the story of Five Loaves and Two Fishes? Well our Saviour gave more than one packet of Free Lunch there. :) Like that little boy, we can set apart and bring our little to Him. He takes them and

Do you know who loves you so much He's practically tattooed your name on the palm of His hand? *Drum roll* ... ... ... ... Your Heavenly Lim Peh or Daddy. Our Abba Father. :) See Isaiah 49:16- I have written your name on my hand. ;) You can bet God doesn't choose an ink that's anything less than permanent to write your name on His palm. Another translation shows how committed He is- Behold, I have ENGRAVED thee upon the palms of my hand. :) Your Heavenly Daddy aka GOD loves you. Never forget that. He loved you so much, He opened His arms 2000 years ago, across the limitless span of time, to die ONCE AND FOR ALL for every single one of your sins- past, present, future. And it's not a half past six job that needs our help completing. He made it very clear- "It is finished." :) Not you but your sins. Now we have on robes of righteousness and garments of praise. Don't let anyone rob you of that gift, the knowledge and understanding of that victory. Scripture

On Higher Ground

"Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards." (Song of Songs 4:8). "Lebanon" is famous for its cedar trees. It is a noble, fragrant tree and the land is also known for its mountainous peaks- so this represents our coming to a higher place of worship. "Amana" means confirmation or truth. It means gazing down from the height of God's vantage point and seeing the truth of a situation; coming from a higher and favoured ground than before. "Amen" comes from this word. Jesus is said in the Scriptures to be our Yes and Amen. :) "Shenir" represents the Armour of the Holy Spirit. It talks about being clothed constantly in the robes of righteousness and knowing you are God's beloved one. These truths will protect us from the evil one. "Hermon" symbolizes the victory of the Cross. We alwa

On time travel...

Things i'd travel back in time to tell my parents in 92 about the flat (and not about me- love where i am in life. I enjoy being Missus Wee)- 1. Install instant water heaters in the bathroom. Trust me. Waiting time is shortened, electrical bill is diced. 2. Don't get the matte floor tiles for the hall. Cleaning them will upset Mum and they're slippery too. 3. Change the toilet tiles. Very hard to wash! HDB used cheapo awful tiles. You'll spend your time in that flat bleaching the tiles but never getting it clean. 4. Buy lights that are easier to change bulbs for. Less halogen ones too. 5. Add an aircon in the spare room... And more power points. 6. Don't make pink and blue wardrobe doors for my room. When in doubt white or brown's good. 7. Don't make cornice - they can and will collapse. You don't need that much lights hidden in them.

Savings this June

Geri's ingenious save money plan for June hols - Will take K out more so we'll use elect and facilities outside- library, Macs, etc. Prob in TPY or Ian's office vicinity. Maybe pack sandwiches for lunch, then try to do cheap dinner afterward. Besides K, we'll try doing cold showers too. Lol. Better for skin, save on the heater- super energy guzzler. Use fans on alt nights in our bedroom, turn off any switches not in use. Not leave lights on when not using them. Boil water with gas stove. Wash only full loads of clothes. Watch less TV. Use only energy saving bulbs not living room lights- user more power, less romantic. Need to fig more ways to save on elect bills. Lol. Will note down more when I fig them out. :) Other cost cutters - walk more, mrt less. If bus cheaper than train, take bus. Drink water from tap like ian's family- don't need to boil. :) maybe cook in bulk- cheaper- defrost when needed. When watching free to air channels, turn hubstation off. Buy ch
