Headlines News: God is NOT the source of your troubles.
I always find it interesting how people tend to like to heap the blame about what happened or is happening in their lives on Abba Daddy. Some even claim that God gifted them a curse to teach them a lesson.
Nerida Walker makes a point that speaks my mind - If God is the One setting you free He cannot be the one that bound you in the first place. He cannot do both because He cannot work against Himself!
Jesus states it clearly in Matthew 12:25 - "Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, 'every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand'"
Therefore in order to see GOD at work in our lives, we need to first turn our eyes towards Christ! It is clear that the works He did were the works of the Father.
John 14:7 - "If you really knew me; you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him."
God created all things to be good and He also sent Jesus to do good on this Earth and to give us a victorious life. Jesus never handed out sickness or disease, He touched people to remove their troubles & guilt consciousness, their disease, their demon possession... Has He ever touched someone to bequeath upon him leprosy? No. Jesus always takes these curses away and when He does so, He also reminds us that our sins are forgiven, to go in the Shalom of the LORD, and in my opinion - to arise, pick up our self-pity and walk! (purely my opinion - because I feel that sometimes when we feel crippled by our circumstances or physical prooblem, we tend to let ourselves fall into self pity instead of picking ourselves up and walking in Faith and Trust in Him!)
Jesus personally reminds us in John 10:10 that "the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have life more abundantly."
In the OT, God's people didn't know that they had an enemy and if they did, they had no idea who this enemy was. They blamed God, they blamed God's prophet... Sadly, many of us lack this same knowledge today =( Hosea 4:6 says "(God's) people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
If you read Job 2:7, it is clear - "Satan went forth and smote Job with sore boils." and again in Luke 13:11-16 - "Satan had bound her and she had a spirit of infirmity."
Jesus came to Earth not to endorse the works of the devil or to use it. He came and He opened His arms on the cross to DESTROY it.
Jesus willingly bore all our sins and infirmities and became accursed for us so that He could lift the curse of death and disease from us and thus disarm and destroy the devil.
1 John 3:8 - "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work."
Acts 10:38 - "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him."
So you see - God does NOT want us to suffer under the oppression, condemnation and attacks of the evil one.
What He wants us to do is to remember whose we are, to walk in our authority and our position in His Son, Christ Jesus... and thus, overcome the devil and all his demons with believing and speaking (aka faith) the Word of God over every area of our lives.
When we arise and resist the devil, he has to flee from us. (James 4:7) The Word tells us in Deuteronomy 28:7 that the devil and his minions comes against us one way but flees from us seven ways. Seven is the biblical number of perfection. So when the enemy is removed from our lives, he is removed perfectly. AMEN!
Live like you are on the winning team and may the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with you always! =D
