Praise God for perfect timing and the safety of His protection

The place we were at, when Ian was hospitalised last month, was really shaken by yesterday's tremors. I praise God from the depths of my heart that when we were there, and the first one amongst the recent string of quakes happened, it was far away from us. I recall watching the news with Ian and feeling so sorry for the villagers whose lives were deeply affected by the quake.

After we left Indon, the quakes have been shaking the area we were at more intensively. Yesterday a massive quake rocked West Java where we were at.

Cilegon was the place where Ian was hospitalised. And we were shooting along the Sunda Straits. Abba Daddy God really has us hedged in in His protection. =) See the news article below?

Be encouraged dear ones! God is for you so who can be against you? =) Nothing in the natural can overwrite the supernatural power of our Abba Father that is in you, over you, surrounding you. Not even a ring of fire. =) Amen? All glory to Christ Jesus! =D

Strong 6.4-magnitude quake rocks Indonesia

CILEGON, Indonesia - A powerful 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia's Java island on Friday, shaking office buildings in Jakarta and sparking panic closer to the epicentre, officials said.

The quake struck off the coast near Ujung Kulon, about 260 kilometres (162 miles) west of the capital Jakarta, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, Indonesian officials said.

The US Geological Survey said the quake was of 6.5-magnitude and only 187 kilometres west-southwest of Jakarta, at a depth of 55.6 kilometres in the Sunda Strait.

Office towers in Jakarta bounced and swayed for about two minutes and people were seen moving calmly into the streets as a precaution.

In Cilegon on the west Java coast, residents said the earth shook powerfully and some people ran from their homes, but there was no evidence of major damage.

"There was strong shaking for less than a minute. There was a lot of panic," said 38-year-old teacher Warca Dinata, who lives in a coastal village near Ujung Kulon.

"We all ran out of our homes but now everything is OK."

Geophysics Agency technical chief Suharjono told AFP the quake was the result of movement in the same plate that triggered a 7.6-magnitude quake on September 30, killing more than 1,000 people on Sumatra island.

But he said it was impossible to say whether the two events were related.

"We're not sure if the recent quake in West Sumatra and the current one are related. But the epicentres are in the same block... due to a clash between the Indo-Australian and Euro-Asian plates," he said.

Indonesia lies on the so-called Ring of Fire, an area of high seismic activity that produces hundreds of earthquakes a year.
