Mountains and Faith cannot co-exist
There is nothing wrong with wishing and hoping - or is there?
" I wish things would get better."
" I hope that we can work this marriage out."
" I am not sure if the deal will come through - hope it does, I guess."
Do these statements sound okay to you? Maybe it is tomost folks, but somehow they don't agree with me because they show no confidence in our Abba and what He has done and will continue to do for us. It shows no rejoicing in His goodness and in His victory!
Faith is not about hoping... IMHO, Faith is about knowing that it has all been FINISHED in the Messiah, Christ Jesus.
Faith can move mountains - where faith is there can be no mountains because Jesus's work on the cross was perfect and not half completed.
It is being sure of Him even when you can't be sure about your circumstances and the people that surround you.
It is knowing you are a co-heir with Christ who reigns above the troubles of this world.
It is choosing to believe that God is doing something good for you even if the situation seems gloomy.
It is choosing to have a better and better opinion of Jesus with the breaking dawn of each new day.
It might be hard to believe, but we can ask the Holy Spirit to give us faith in areas where we have none.
Yes Faith , like Grace, is a gift!
It is not about you working out your faith... like the character in the gospel who asked Christ for more faith to help him believe in His saving grace, we too can do the same - just ask Him for it.
And we can do it boldly too! Why? Because He is not about to give us stones when we ask for The Bread of Life!
I read somewhere today where someone reflects that she asked Christ if He could give her some water some time ago, but had she known Him as well as she does today, she would have run towards Him with a bucket and not just a small glass.
Abba God is a generous and good Daddy who is the epitome of LOVE, and yet we deem Him to be miserly, anger and jealous... because we have been told lies by the enemy in the hope that we will fall further from Him and we will not realise the power our God has in every over our lives, we will be tricked to walk away from our destiny - to reign in Jesus!
Proverbs 16:3 says "Commit to the LORD everything you do. Then your plans WILL succeed."
It doesn't say "might succeed" but a definite YES AND AMEN IT WILL SUCCEED.
So commit your cares, your plans, your family, your everything to the LORD and you can know for sure, with confidence, that it will succeed, no matter what the circumstances seems like. =D
The enemy might whisper "Ya right..." saracastically in the ear, but reject what he tells you in Christ. =) HE has given you life and life more abundantly, don't live life thinking that He only has a life of poverty, trials and trouble planned for you.
Be wise about God's will for you that is spelled out in Jeremiah 29:11 and pay attention only to what Your Shepherd King speaks to your heart - that is ALL that matters. =)
Remember that Faith and Mountain cannot co-exist; just as curses and Christ cannot co-exist in your life... if Christ is your Redeemer, Curses of the fallen world no longer has a hold over you. Amen!
Stand up to your Goliath and see how he falls in the face of the Holy Spirit, your helper, who dwells inside of you. (^.^)
