Thoughts as I ate Shui Jiao (dumpling) one day...

Father God, I am clay in your hands
Help me to stay that way through all life's demands.
- Toby Mac

Have you ever made Chinese Dumplings (Shui Jiao/ Shao Mai) before? We usually put a dampened towel over the skins to keep them moist because when the pastry dries up, it is hard to wrap the goodness inside it as the skin will flake tear. You also use water to seal the skin and keep the goodness within.

The same thing - as believers we need to remain mould-able so that Christ can wrap all of His grace in our lives! =)

Whenever we become dry, we flake at the smallest trial and become easily discouraged.

Remain soaked in His blessings and His Word under the cover of His anointing!

And let the Holy Spirit seal His joy and manifold blessings in you! =D

  2. Hi Geri,

Really edifying to read your blog ... a great refreshing compared to the frustration i got sucked into at blogpastor.

I read the comments relating to blogpastor's entry about a Buddhist monk's simple lifestyle, and couldn't resist rebutting some of the ridiculous comments (about tithing, NCC, and Pastor Prince). Before I knew it, I descended into a spiral of arguments and counter-arguments with people who don't even understand or don't want to understand what I'm trying to say.

It's your fault (and Mal's too) because you guys haven't been blogging for the last few days, causing me to wander into a pit of quicksand due to boredom ;-)

Joking lah, just wanted to let off some steam :-) Really appreciate your uplifting entries ...

  3. Thanks Angie and Stanley! =D

Sorry for the drought in blog entries ^.^" I was rushing out some scriptwriting. Hoping to rest from work soon to focus on spending time with Christ, preparing Kae's room for him to move in as well as to help out in ministry. I am currently serving in Pastoral Care (Funeral Services), Music Ministry (choir) and Performing Arts Ministry (scriptwriter). All glory to Christ! =D Hallelujah!

I know how it is like to fall into that quicksand you talk about. =) My dear sis, Andrea, always reminds me not to let the Enemy reel me in by barbed comments. Jesus doesn't need us to fight for Him, and Pastor is under Christ so Jesus is the best advocate. =) Letz just keep in prayer those who are struggling to accept the msg of grace fully. =)

I used to get so incensed, worked up and affected by this other blog by a guy who hits out at our Pastor and is very works-based. I decided to just stop going there and reading the crap, focusing instead on messages that can edify me and deepen my understanding of the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ =D

Maybe you should blog too! =) One short para a day filled with thanksgiving for Christ's work in your life for that day. It will be encouraging to us all to read it and also help you to remember all the big and small blessings dished up to you by our generous Abba Daddy every single day. =D

Abide in Him always bro! =D

    Shalom!
    Geri
