On phone conversations and amazing grace.
Ian and I were walking back from the market after late night dinner and we started talking about when we first started making long long calls to each other on the phone (or what the Cantonese dub as 'brewing telephone porridge').
"The phone used to become so hot but I'dl tell myself, nevermind it's okay. Just hang on in there. There's a beautiful girl on the line."
LOL!!
He also told me that his phone bills shot up to $120-$140 a month as he had no free incoming calls yet then (he had not seen the need to switch to it as he hardly made or received calls - until Geri appeared in his life. Lol!!) There were months when we would have been on the phone for some 1100 minutes!! =)
He also remarked that it was quite amazing that his phone could hold out for the entire conversation. He knew his phone's battery limit. This was the ancient Nokia 2100 we're talking about here.
"But it is like God knew you needed to talk. So He allowed the battery to 'tong' (hold out) that much longer just like how He helped Joshua keep the Sun in the sky for longer."
Hehehe. Praise God!
After our call ends, the phone battery would be at the end of its leg... but it never cut halfway through ever. =D
