Waking Up To a Bang
The neighbours are renovating and it seems to be some major overhaul. Since Monday, we've been waking up to the sound of a symphony of drills and hammering. Well, maybe not "we" since Kae and Ian manage to sleep through the cacophony.
The reno-works are making me a reluctant morning person but I see the silver lining - at least I got to wash and hang up our laundry to dry early this morning and take down the batch that dried over night (it takes longer to dry the laundry because of the rainy season). My laundry baskets are nice and empty again after having accumulated washing for the past 3 weeks as I busied with work and more work.
The EePc 901 we bought has served me well. I can at least take my writings with me instead of being rooted to the floor of our bedroom (my com is at coffee table height) 24/7. So to escape the noise of the reno-works that last till about 5pm, Kae & I have sought refuge at Ian's office where Kae would play Lego.com or Chess on his imac whilst i hammer away on my little net pc. The NLB is nearby too, so should Kae tire of the com - there is the library to stake out at.
The other plus point of the Eepc i have is that I can save on the power we use at home. I have to keep my AC on when I am on my com (it overheats very easily) - that drives the electricity bill up. Now with the Ee and Wireless, I can take advantatge of the AC and power at the nearby 24 hour Macs or the Library. Yay! =D
I love how small it is and how light... I even used it in church the other day. I installed E-Sword on it along with ECV and BBE translations of the bible... so I could easily refer to bible quotes and type down sermon notes. Unfortunately, Kae was with us at the adult service last week & we had to be at the level 3 holding area so it was a bit tough to catch what Pastor Lian was saying through the cacophony.
I will put up what notes I managed to get... if anyone took down notes for the bit on the Hot Air Balloon - kindly share. I got bits of it but not the whole thing hehe.
Cheerios!
