Reflections of a day that is coming to a close =)
Before I headed off to the Singapore Indoor Stadium with Ian & Kae, I had found time to blog about some thoughts I had recently on self-help and letting go. Experiences of attacks that we've had recently have been shaking our vessel, but we remain safe as we abide in our Daddy God =)
It is amazing how Pastor's sermon today echoed the thoughts I had blogged about - that in Christ, all curses and strongholds we have are FINISHED! =) It was an affirmation that the Rhema Word had come from the Holy Spirit as I blogged about how we learned once more to let go and trust Him after the anxiety attack we had last night.
Extract from my notes which I will tidy up and post later on tonight after bringing Kae back to my parent's place -
Men cannot change themselves = only Jesus can transform from the inside out!
Our will power can only go so far.
Where there is a Vill there is a Vay - way to death.
True transformation can only come from the grace of Christ Jesus.
Men brings about head transformation, only God can bring about heart transformation.
Faith does not make things real - whether u believe the Sun exists or not, it still exists.
If U believe in the Sun, you are in line with reality.
Picture that you are in a boat and the boat is secure - your faith in the boat does not save you, the boat saves you. BUT your faith in the boat keeps you feeling at peace, secure and safe.
Similarly, it is not your faith in Christ that saves you, it is Christ who saves you!
Jesus in the bible = God's will in action
Want to know God? See Jesus.
Whatever He did in the bible, He is willing today = He is the same yesterday, today and forever!
No matter what the market is like, then and now, He can still take your 5 loaves and 2 fishes and bless them to be abundance
The more U run after Jesus, all these blessings run after U. We dun run after blessings. We run after JESUS!
Anything placed in His hand MULTIPLIES!
He is always enriching, healing, giving, providing - this is our God!
We should not experience curses in our lives because we have been ransomed. It is important to know what u are redeemed from or else the devil can hoodwink u.
It is because God is Holy and Righteous that at the cross God took all our sins, placed them in Christ and unleashed all his wrath against them on Christ who took in all the judgements and wrath until it all came to an end = IT IS FINISHED!
And God used His blood to tear the veil that sepreates us from Him, to wash men's sins away so that we can walk into Holy of holies with boldness.
I will blog more later on... I need to type out the sermon in full as it is in point form. Pastor was speaking really fast today so I might have missed out bits and pieces. Hopefully when I get hold of the sermon CD next week I can fill in the gaps. =D
The sermon ministered so strongly. Even though I feel the attack is still present and very real, I also know what the Word (Christ Himself) speaks over me -
If Christ is for Geri and Ian and Kaelen, who can be against them?
No weapons formed against the Bear Family will prosper.
Be it unto the Bear Family according to Your will.
God's will for my family and I are also firmly summed up in Jer 29:11
'For I know the plans I have for the Bear Family,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'
AMEN! =D I stand firm on His promises and reject the lies that the enemy keeps tossing our way.
God is good ALL the time and ALL the time God is good. (Not sometimes but ALWAYS!)

Yes .Our will power can only go so far.Old covenant preaching focus on how much you must love God. Thru self effort.
ReplyDeleteThou shall love the Lord THy God with all Thy heart,strength,soul and might.
New covenant epistles doesn't have this command.
Instead in Ep 3 Paul said that when we have a revelation of the love of Christ ,we will be filled with all the fulness of God.
The focus and the preaching is on the love of Christ which constraints us.2 Cor 5:14
To know the fear of the Lord is to know how much we are forgiven.Bcoz the forgiveness of the Lord cause us to truly fear Him.
Not afraid but reverence (respect) our Abba Father.The focus is on God's love and goodness.Then His grace flows freely in and through us to do what pleases Him.
The law is not of faith and without faith we can't please God Gal 3:12
