Music to Press On to

Looking at the mountain of writing to be done (and it keeps growing - which is not all bad actually) and keeping an uplook instead of outlook as I do what I have to in the natural as He takes care of the rest... =)

Found this song today by Selah and it is edifying me as I press on, running the rade, fighting the good fight in Him and only Him.

Praise You Jesus! =D The joy in the LORD is my strength. Hallelujah!

Press On - Selah

When the
valley is deep
when the mountain is steep
when the body is weary
when we stumble and fall

When the choices are hard
when we're battered and scarred
when we've spent our resources
when we've given our all

In Jesus name we press on
In jesus name we press on
dear lord, with the prize
clear before our eyes
we find the strength to press on

Extra note:

I watched this after the above song and I tell U I puddled like nuts. I have not watched the Passion of Christ movie in full yet, but everytime I see these images ( in the video below), I am humbled and moved by the love He has for me. I understand how my salvation meant so much to Him that He endured what He did to perfectly satisfy the Law, and I am forever thankful with praises of my lips that I am the righteousness of God in Christ and Christ alone. Amen.

Lead Me To The Cross

Savior I come
Quiet my soul, remember
Redemption's hill
Where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom

Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me to the cross

You were as I
Tempted and trialed
Human
The word became flesh
Bore my sin and death
Now you're risen

Everything I once held dear
I count it all as lost

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me to the cross

To your heart
To your heart
Lead me to your heart
Lead me to your heart

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me to the cross

MORE Extra notes:

I also love the starting visuals to this video edited to Brian Littrell's "In Christ Alone" - I feel like that little kid =) Learning how to walk this walk with Him, tumbling and losing my footing at times, and being picked up gently and lovingly dusted by His hands as He helps me along.

Sorry the person doesn't allow embedding so do ctrl-click to watch it on another tab =D Again it is a video made of footage from the Passion of Christ. When I first heard this song a year or so ago, I had no idea Brian Littrell is one of the dudes from Backstreet Boys (prob the only boy band I ever liked from the 90s). The verses are beautifully written and I know the chorus is an old one I used to sing in church as a teen.

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal to the grace by which I stand

In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone

In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord

In Christ alone
I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone
