Post-It Note to Me

Today I once again remind myself - Remember that the battles belong to the LORD so don't fight from your own strength but by His Spirit =)

I remind myself - Remember Jesus said "It is finished." - there might be trials and tribulations in this fallen world , but we are more than conquerors in Christ, who has won the victory for all our probs the day He died on the cross.

I think the issue that stumbles most Christians is this - they expect life to be devoid of any problems, so when a problem appears they look at God and go "WHY ME?" Even tho' God did not put that stumbling block there.

You see, it doesn't mean that we will not face any problems if we are in Christ. The bible is clear about this -

Joh 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

We are in this world, so we are also affected by its problems; BUT not of this world so we are not defeated by them. And Jesus has personally given His assurance - that He has overcome the world - so that we can have His shalom (peace and wholeness that the world cannot give) and good cheer no matter what the trials we face.

That empty cross is a symbol that Christ died and Christ has risen - His having risen is proof of our redemption - not just our soul, but redemption from the many stumbling blocks in this world. =D
