Save Kaya??

This month, Mediacorp is urging Singaporeans to partake in "Saving Gaia".

Sorry. I am fine with the term save the Earth... but saving Gaia is another deal altogether. I am not trying to be anal retentive but the term Gaia refers to the pagan Greek goddess that personifies the Earth.

I also find the ad - where someone is using a chain saw to saw a mannequin whilti oozes "blood" or crude oil or cornsyrup & the mannequin fades into a little kid about Kae's age - HIGHLY DISTURBING. I know what they are saying - "Killing Earth is like killing the next generation." But, honestly is that the kind of imagery I want my kid to see on TV?!?!

Kae can stick to Playhouse Disney for now - beats watching gory shock-tactic ads on the tube. =p

IMHO what needs saving is not "Gaia" but the people of this Earth (the harvest is ready but there aren't enough people to harvest), and freelancers who get pushed around like dirt in the Media & Creative Industry over here coz they dun have a voice that stands up for them.

Save Gaia?

I'd rather save my eyes from watching those i-wannabe-like-benetton ads.

What the Anointing Oil is & Prayer for the Anointing Oil

Pastor Prince from New Creation Church has recently called upon the church members to use the Anointing Oil to bless every area of our lives. He had gone to Tiberius Church in Indonesia and seen how the anointing oil has made a difference to the Christians there. Good News -   Australia- Anonymous 6m ago sister went for eye test. Pressure was high and Doc say needed eye drops and needed to see specialist. Didn't want to have glaucoma. Took communion. Refused to worry. Worry is a choice. Went for check up and pressure was good. Eye pressure went further down in recent check up. Able to pursue career choice to be a pilot. All glory to Jesus.   Sister from our church. Charissa Three prayer requests and she felt troubled because 2/3 of her prayer request not met. Four days before last service, her request for her menstrual cycle resumed naturally! Then that week, her mother said her dad asked to go church with her and accepted Christ!! Her prayer requests were fulfilled at the very last time of the year and Jesus did it with such style.   Sermon starts- God sometimes may seem late but is always on time.   BLESSED NEW YEAR!
