More promises in Isaiah 65! =)

My people will build houses and live in them... They will no longer build houses
only to have others live in them.

- Praise God! Our houses are safe in Christ. We need not fear losing the roof over our heads! Amen! No fear of the Repo man or of bankruptcy.

They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They will no longer plant crops only to have others eat them.

- Amen! We shall not be robbed of the fruits of our labour. God has hedged His protection over our financial well-being as much as He has over our spiritual and physical well-being. We have His Shalom!

My people will live to be as old as trees. My chosen ones will enjoy for a long time the things they have worked for. Their work will not be worthless anymore.

- We will not live short lives (of coz unless we choose to). We have length of days in Christ and we will enjoy all the days of our lives living in victory in Jesus! =) We will find meaning in what we do and what we do will touch lives for Christ. =D

They will not have children who are sure to face sudden terror.
Instead, I will bless them.
I will also bless their children after them.

- Our kids need not fear any danger in the day or sudden attacks in the night (psalm 91). They are alert, they are discerning, they are secure in the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ. Our kids will be blessed greatly, favoured highly, loved deeply - and this blessing and promise does not stop at them. It goes on for generations after. =)

Even before they call out to me, I will answer them. While they are still speaking, I will hear them.

- Jesus knows our every burdens even before we give voice to them. And as we are climbing our mountains with our Isaacs, He has already sent a ram on the other side of the mountain- it is just that we cannot see it until the time comes. He hears our heartsong before we sing our griefs, joys, frustrations out. He knows us even better than we know ourself. He should coz He created us!!
