Problem + God = Opportunity
You are not alone so you don't have to meet your trials alone. With God on your side all things are possible.
Because you're in Christ, you're an overcomer. Also, leave your enemies in God's hands. Doing so does not endorse their misbehavior. You can hate what someone did without letting hatred consume you.
Forgiveness is not pretending nor is it foolishness. At its core, forgiveness is choosing to see your offender with different eyes.
The Eskimos don't have a native word for forgiveness but a string of words that conveys it- issumagijoujungnainermik- or not being able to think about it anymore. :)
To forgive is to move on, to not think about the offense anymore. You don't excuse him, endorse her, embrace them. You just route your thoughts about them through heaven- You see your enemy as God's project in progress- just as you were- and revenge, or punishment, as God's job. We give grace because we've been given grace. Dig deeper and deeper until you draw moisture from the mercy of God.
Like King Saul, we've been given grace. Like David, we too can freely give it.
[The story of Saul and David can be found from 1 Samuel 8 onwards]
