Charis

For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God's favor and mercy] - Romans 6:14 (AMP)

Grace here is "Charis" in Greek. =)

Charis means
acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace(-ious), joy, liberality, pleasure, thank(-s, -worthy) according to the expository of Greek terms.

We are found acceptable in Christ whom we have the benefit/favour of the gift of grace that has freed us. This is why God finds pleasure in us and why we are filled with thanksgiving for His perfect work on the cross. =D

Yayness!

Interesting note: I hope to someday name our daughter Sophia Charis Wee - Sophia means wisdom and Charis means grace... =)
