Part The Waters... I Need Thee...

Part The Waters/ I Need Thee - Selah

When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea
When I cry for help, oh, hear me
Lord and hold out Your hand
Touch my life
Still the raging storm in me

I need Thee every hour, most gracious Lord
No tender voice like Thine can peace afford

I need Thee, O I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee

I need Thee every hour, in joy or pain
Come quickly and abide, or life is vain

I need Thee, O I need Thee
Every hour I need Thee
O bless me now, my Savior
I come to Thee

When I think I'm going under...

The full lyrics for "Part The Waters" is so moving... Thanks Joo so much for sending them to me. It was the first time I ever saw it. I surfed for the song and found the above version by Selah - a combi of two hymns that are so beautiful and moving.

I found so much solace in the words so I decided altho' the above rendition used only one verse, that I still wanted to put the rest up to share.

May it minister to you like David's harp ministered to Saul - soothing every frazzled nerve and holding you close in His bosom.

Part The Waters

When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord.
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea.
When I cry for help, O hear me, Lord, and hold out Your hand.
Touch my life, still the raging storm in me.

Knowing You love me through the burden I must bear,
Hearing Your footsteps lets me know I'm in Your care,
And in the night of my life You bring the promise of day,
Here is my hand, show me the way.

Knowing You love me helps me face another day.
Hearing Your footsteps drives the clouds and fear away;
And in the tears of my life I see the sorrow You bore,
Here is my pain, heal it once more.

When I think I'm going under, part the waters, Lord.
When I feel the waves around me, calm the sea.
When I cry for help, O hear me, Lord, and hold out Your hand.
Touch my life, still the raging storm in me.
